The SMT Series automatic de-fluxing systems are the electronic industry's most popular de-fluxing systems. The SMT Series automatic de-fluxers provide cleanliness levels exceeding all military, IPC, and other high-reliability specifications. The SMT Series de-fluxing systems are routinely used in high reliability military, flight, space, medical, and other critical applications to name a few.

Only Aqueous Technologies' SMT Series cleaning systems are equipped with Focus-Wash (patent pending) technology. Focus-Wash ensures the highest level of flux and other contaminant removal from even the most difficult circuit assembly.

All SMT Series de-fluxers are equipped with a powerful Windows CE control system. A graphic 10.4 inch (264 mm) touch-screen interface provides intuitive recipe programming and an information rich real-time cycle status.

All SMT Series de-fluxers are equipped with on-board cleanliness testing capabilities. Desired cleanliness levels may be programmed to ensure consistent cleanliness standards are met. Built-in Statistical Process Control (SPC) data logging complies with ISO reporting and standards compliance.  Available Expanded Statistical Process Control software provides on-screen and exportable SPC data.  An optional built-in Web Server allows access to all SPC data from any PC connected to the user's network.  Real-time process data is automatically captured and stored for easily accessed historical review.

And because cleaning is only half of the process, all SMT Series cleaners are equipped with the most powerful drying system of any machine in their class. All SMT Series defluxing systems are equipped with a power combination of convection and radiant drying technology.

SMT LD Series Low Discharge.  Wash solution captured, filtered, and reused.  Wash solution not discharged.  Rinse water discharged to drain. Removal of all flux types including Rosin, Water Soluble, and No-Clean. 
SMT ZD Series
   
Zero-Discharge.  All fluid (spent wash solution and rinse water) directed to evaporator (included).  No fluid is discharged to drain. Removal of all flux types including Rosin, Water Soluble, and No-Clean. 
SMT CL Series Closed-Loop.  All solution is captured, re-deionized, and reused.  No fluid is discharged to drain.  Removal Water Soluble fluxes only.

Features and Benefits:

Cleaning Technology:
All SMT-Series de-fluxing systems are equipped with Focus-Wash (patent pending) technology. Focus-Wash directs powerful yet safe high-pressure wash solution and rinse water to all areas of the boards.  All SMT Series de-fluxing systems are equipped with high-performance stainless steel multi-stage spray pumps for maximum board cleanliness.  Multiple asymmetrical stainless steel spray nozzles direct high pressure, high velocity cleaning fluid to all areas of the board's surface, including under components.  Boards are loaded onto an oscillating rack which constantly moves the boards between twenty rotating spray nozzles.  The constant movement of the board rack ensures thorough coverage of the spray nozzles, providing superior cleaning, even on the most densely populated assembly.

The SMT-LD Series de-fluxing systems, capable of removing all flux residues, are equipped with dual, segregated spray pumps.  One multi-stage pump is dedicated for washing boards while the other multi-stage pump provides rinsing functions.  Wash solution is not mixed with rinse water providing maximum rinse efficiency.  Rinse water is never mixed with wash solution, ensuring consistent wash chemical concentrations.

The SMT-LD Series de-fluxers are equipped with a built-in wash solution recycling and filtration system, allowing the filtration and re-use of wash solution.  Because the wash solution is captured, filtered, and reused operational costs, including chemical costs are extremely low.   An optional (standard on SMT1000-LD) chemical management system offers precise one-button chemical dosing.  Simply set the desired chemical concentration and push a button.  The precise volume of chemical and water automatically fills the wash solution's holding tank.  No measuring or mixing required.

Cleanliness Capabilities:
All SMT-Series de-fluxing systems are equipped with on-board cleanliness testing capabilities.  Simply program the desired cleanliness settings and the SMT-Series' computer will monitor the board's cleanliness, maintaining the cleaning cycle until cleanliness is achieved.  Cleanliness results are stored on the system's built-in SPC monitoring system.

Drying Technology:
All SMT-Series de-fluxing systems are equipped with the most powerful drying system of any batch-format de-fluxing system.  A combination of convection and radiant heat technology provide thorough board drying in impressively short cycle time. 

Fully Automatic Operation:
All machine functions (wash, rinse, cleanliness testing, drying, SPC data logging) and achieved in one machine.  Boards are loaded into an ESD safe board rack and rolled into the SMT-Series de-fluxing system.  An operator chooses the desired programmed recipe and presses a single button.  There is no need for operator interaction while the machine is cleaning the boards. Estimated time of completion is displayed on the display screen eliminating the need to consistently check on the machine's status.

Control System:
All SMT-Series de-fluxing systems are equipped with an integrated computer controller.  An industrial quality Windows CE computer running an Intel X-Scale processor provides superior control and data logging functions.  Unlimited user-defined programmable recipes may be created and stored for one-touch recall.  Users have full alpha-numeric name control over their programmed recipes for easy identification.  Multiple password protection prevents unauthorized access to specific program screens.  Collected SPC data may be viewed on the display screen, downloaded to a USB device, or viewed remotely via a network connection.

Optional programmable maintenance reminders allow maintenance staff to set visual on-screen reminders when it is time to change the wash chemical and the wash-solution filter.  Operators are prompted to report required maintenance items.  After specific maintenance has been performed, an administrator password can be entered to reset the reminders.
