Aqueous
Technologies' SMT Series are the electronic industries' most popular
batch-format de-fluxing systems.
All SMT
Series cleaners are designed to remove flux and other contaminants from
post-reflow circuit assemblies to cleanliness levels that exceed all
military and commercial specifications.
The SMT-Series cleaning systems provide more cleaning and drying
power than any other brand. Aqueous Technologies’
unique "Focus-Wash"
spray system directs cleaning solution to all areas of the boards,
including between and under components. The unique (patent
pending) oscillating board rack and asymmetrical spray nozzle design
produce millions of overlapping spray patterns, virtually
eliminating shadowing. Focus-Wash produces more than five times
the impact pressure of former models. The SMT Series cleaners are
designed for fine-pitch, high density SMT assemblies.
All SMT
Series cleaners are equipped with a built-in cleanliness tester that
allows an operator to preset a specific cleanliness level. The
machine's cycle time automatically adjusts to ensure cleanliness levels
are achieved.
The
SMT Series cleaning systems automatically perform all aspects of cleaning
/ de-fluxing including washing, rinsing, cleanliness testing, drying, and
statistical process control (SPC).
Powered by
an internal computer operating under Windows CE, all SMT Series cleaning systems provide a level of
process control unmatched in the industry. A large panel-mounted
10.4 inch (26.4
cm) color touch-screen provides an easy to read graphic-based operator
interface. Built-in multi-level, administrator-settable password protection ensures the integrity of the
machine's programmed memories.
Available
Expanded Statistical Process Control (ESPC) software provides on-screen
and exportable SPC data. A built-in Web Server allows access to all
SPA data from any PC or Mac connected to the user's network. Real-time process data is automatically
captured and stored for easily accessed historical review.
And
because cleaning is only half of the process, all SMT Series cleaners
are equipped with the most powerful drying system in its class.
The SMT
Series cleaners are available in three power configurations. Within
each power configuration, three discharge options are available including
filtered discharge, closed-loop (for water soluble applications), and
zero-discharge.
SMT-LD
Series Low Discharge Aqueous Cleaning System (Now
with Focus-Wash)
The SMT-LD series removes all flux / pastes types, Rosin (‘R’,
‘RA’, ‘RMA’) No-Clean, and Water Soluble.
The SMT-LD series features a built-in wash-water recycler real-time
filtration for maximum chemical life. Separate wash and rinse pumps
prevent increased drag-out and cross contamination, further maximizing
chemical life and reducing chemical cost.
SMT-ZD
Series Zero-Discharge Aqueous Cleaning System
(Now with Focus-Wash)
The SMT-ZD series cleaner removes all flux / pastes types, Rosin
(‘R’, ‘RA’, ‘RMA’) No-Clean, and Water Soluble.
The SMT-ZD series cleaner consists of an SMT Series cleaning system and an
evaporation system. By connecting the SMT Series cleaner to the
energy-efficient evaporator, the entire systems becomes zero-discharge,
eliminating the need for a drain.
SMT-CL
Series Closed-Loop Aqueous Cleaning System (Now
with Focus-Wash)
The SMT-CL series cleaning system removes Water Soluble fluxes and
pastes. The SMT-CL series cleaning system is equipped with a
built-in water recirculation and de-ionization system. All process
water is captured, filtered, re-de-ionized, and reused.
The
SMT-CL series cleaning system utilizes compact DI media bottles for fast
and easy exchanges. Aqueous Technologies offers an extremely
convenient media exchange program.
Aqueous
Technologies SMT series cleaning systems are the most powerful batch
de-fluxing systems available. It takes considerable power to
adequately clean and dry modern surface mount technology. Low
standoff heights, high densities, and aggressive reflow profiles require
unprecedented levels of power and process control.
