Instructions:
With the SMT Series cleaning systems shut down and the main circuit
breaker in the OFF position, disconnect the original Windows 98 PC (power
plug, touch-screen serial connector, display screen connector, I/O board
ribbon connector). Remove original PC
from the top of the cleaning system. Place the new Windows XP
computer on top of the SMT Series cleaning system. Using the 110 VAC
plug already located on top of the cleaning system, plug in the new PC (do
not turn it on at this time). Locate the SCSI ribbon-cable assembly provided
with Version 5-XP upgrade. One end of the SCSI Cable Assembly is
equipped with an SCSI male already connected to the Cable Interface
Board. The other end of the SCSI Cable Assembly should be connected
to the SCSI connector located at the rear of the new computer as illustrated
below. The existing
ribbon cable should be plugged into the remaining connector on the Cable
Interface Board as illustrated below. Once
all of connections have been made, you may turn on the new computer.
Please note when the PC is turned on, some devices within the cleaning
systems may briefly (under one second) turn on. This is normal.
